Ares
Ares is the shyest member of our flock. She prefers to forage and wander around the yard by herself rather than cuddle up with humans or interact with fellow flock members. Her more extroverted side comes out though when she hears the shake of a treat bag… she can’t especially resist mealworms or sunflower seeds!

Rhode Island Reds are the state bird of Rhode Island, one of only two US states with a chicken as their state bird (Delaware is the second!). There is even a monument to the breed in the town where they were first bred.
